Millard United Sports (MUS) is looking to hire a seasonal Concession Manager. MUS currently has 4 primary outdoor facilities that have concession stands. This person will be responsible for the overall management of these 4 stands and any “pop up” stands at additional locations.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Managing Concession Staff
- Support concession operations including, but not limited to:
- Control concession inventory shortages and spoilage levels.
- Selection of menu items
- Monitor staff to ensure facilities are cleaned every day.
- The hiring, training, developing, supervising, counseling, scheduling, and after conferring with the Assistant GM, terminating of any employee.
- Properly administrating all applicable paperwork and upholding all company policies.
- Controlling costs, including all direct operating expenses; purchasing and ordering concession product and any other supplies needed for daily operations, as well as the inventory and auditing processes involved in tracking those supplies.
- Supervising concession stand maintenance (building and grounds, where applicable), including obtaining qualified personnel for maintenance concerns.
- Monitoring risk management as it pertains to the stands, i.e., employee and guest safety, loss prevention, emergency situations, and the proper handling, reporting, and investigating of accidents.
- Provide and model excellent customer service to guests and staff.
- Responsible for counting, depositing, and reconciling all receipts taken in during a business day. Receipts may include, but are not limited to cash, credit cards, coupons.
- Knowledge and compliance of MUS dress code
- Ensuring guest satisfaction – smile, greet, and thank all guests
- Other duties as assigned
General overview of schedule (changes seasonally):
- Stands are generally open Monday thru Friday from 5 PM to 10 PM & Saturday and Sunday from 7 AM to 10 PM (hours may vary by location / week)
- This position will be comprised of both an on-site and general management role.
- It is estimated 10 to 20 hours a week of shift work
- It is estimated 10 to 15 hours a week of administrative management
- It is estimated 5 to 10 hours a week working with inventory
Experience/Skills required:
- Previous food service or customer service experience preferred
- Previous management and cash management experience preferred
